Council Rock South Turf Field Proposal Up For Review Oct. 23

NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A proposal for turf fields at Council Rock South will be considered later this month by the Northampton Township Board of Supervisors.

A public hearing on the application for the fields is scheduled for Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. It will be held at the Northampton Township Municipal Building, 55 Township Road, Richboro.

Council Rock School District has submitted a conditional use application for the project, which includes the fields as well as other amenities.

The plan proposes three, 100-square-foot ticket booths, bleachers, lighting, and a future 2,875-square foot building for concessions, restrooms, team rooms, and storage.

The estimated cost of the project is $2.7 million, officials have said at past school board meetings.
