NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Workers are scheduled to install a high friction surface treatment (HFST) on Worthington Mill Road in Wrightstown and Northampton townships between Monday, July 15 and Friday, July 19.

Motorists can expect lane closures and delays from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Worthington Mill Road between Route 232 (Second Street Pike) and Swamp Road.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

The installation is designed to provide increased friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions.

The work is part of the $4.5 million project to replace the Worthington Mill Road bridge over Neshaminy Creek, which was substantially completed on December 20, 2023.
