NORTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Northampton Township Police Department reported several crimes that occurred in the area from Monday, Jan. 10 to Sunday, Jan. 16.

Monday, Jan. 10

- Police responded to a residence for a report of a stolen/undelivered package. The victim stated that he was notified that his online purchase of a computer was delivered to his residence by FedEx. After checking his porch as well as his cameras, he found the delivery was never made. He contacted the online store, as well as FedEx, and was informed the package was delivered and someone signed for it. The man contacted his credit card company, who initially refunded the transaction, but after speaking with online company and FedEx, they reversed the transaction. Police contacted FedEx and spoke with a representative, who stated that the package was marked undeliverable and never shipped out; this incident is still be investigated.
- Police responded to Holland Rd. at Morning Glory Ave. for a report of a single vehicle accident; the driver struck a deer on the road. No injuries were reported and the vehicle did not require a tow.
- Police responded to Chinquapin Rd. at Witherington Rd. for a report of a single vehicle accident; one car swerved to avoid striking a deer and struck the guardrail. Mo injuries were reported, but the driver required a tow.
Tuesday, Jan. 11
- Police came to a residence off Hidden Cove for a reported theft; an unknown person stole a blue 2008 Yamaha Raptor 700R ATV from their backyard. It had previously been posted for sale on Facebook Marketplace. The theft cost the owner $5,000.
- Police responded to Newtown Richboro Rd. at Holland Rd. for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident; one car turned in front of another and caused a collision. The driver of the struck vehicle went to Saint Mary Medical Center for further evaluation; both vehicles required a tow.
- Police responded to Fir Dr. at Newtown Richboro Rd. for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident; one car backed into another. No injuries were reported and neither vehicle required a tow.
Wednesday, Jan. 12

- Police came to a residence for a fraud report. A woman stated that she received an email stating someone attempted to open a credit card on her Amazon account. After believing the email, she sent $1,000 worth of gift cards to the sender, later realizing it was a scam. The incident is being investigated.
- A report of a single vehicle accident was made from the 400 block of Buck Rd.; a driver struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported and the driver did not require a tow.
- A report of a two vehicle accident was made at East Holland Rd. at Stoneyford Rd.; one car turned in front of another and caused a collision. The driver of the first car sustained minor injuries and both vehicles required a tow.
- Police responded to the parking lot of a local business for a report of a theft. A woman said an unknown person entered her unlocked car and stole a Samsung Tablet and JBL speaker.
- Police responded to Cloverly Dr. for a report of an intoxicated person in the roadway. After making contact with the person, they attempted to get him a ride home, but he was uncooperative, ignoring the officers and continuing to walk in the roadway; he was taken into custody.
Thursday, Jan. 13
- Police arrived at Buck Rd. at Rocksville Rd for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident; one car pulled into the intersection in front of another and caused a collision. No injuries were reportedand neither vehicle required a tow.
- A simple assault was reported at a local home, with one person taken into custody.
- Police arrived at West Bristol Rd. at Jacksonville Rd. for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident; one car was traveling in the left turn lane and the mirror on their vehicle struck the mirror of another car that was sitting in the middle lane. No injuries were reported and neither vehicle required a tow.
- Police arrived at Newtown Richboro Rd. for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident; one car backed out of a driveway into the roadway and caused a collision with another car. The drive of the second car had minor injuries and both vehicles required a tow.
Friday, Jan. 14
- Police arrived at 2nd St. Pike for a report of a simple assault. Upon arrival, one person had already left the scene, with police filing several charges on the subject.
- Police arrived at Jacksonville Rd. for a report of a simple assault. One person was taken into custody and processed.
- Police arrived at Bustleton Pike for a report of a simple assault. One person was taken into custody and processed.
Saturday, Jan. 15
- Police arrived at Worthington Mill Rd. for a report of a DUI. Police observed a vehicle off the roadway and resting on the roof. After refusing EMS, the operator was taken into custody for DUI.
- Police arrived at New Road for a report of a simple assault. One person was taken into custody and processed.
- Police arrived at Bridgetown Pike at East Bristol Rd. for a report of a traffic accident; one car rear ended another. No injuries were reported and neither vehicle required a tow.
Sunday, Jan. 16
- Police arrived at Bless Cr. for a report of a theft from vehicle. A woman said she observed a white male wearing dark clothing enter her unlocked vehicle at approximately 4:25 a.m.; she saw this on video surveillance after the incident occurred. The man appears to take a piece of paper from the vehicle after rummaging through everything. The matter is currently being investigated.
- Police arrived at West Buttonwood at Beech Street for a report of a single vehicle traffic accident; a car slid on ice and struck a curb. No injuries were reported and neither vehicle required a tow.
