Northampton Native Named ESPN Sideline Reporter
Marisa Pilla will report during ESPN's National Women's Soccer League broadcasts.
NORTHAMPTON, PA — A Northampton native will be coming to TV screens across the country as a sideline reporter for ESPN's broadcasts of National Women's Soccer League matches.
Marisa Pilla this season is making her debut in that role for ESPN, the network has announced.
A fixture on the Philadelphia sports scene, Pilla grew up in Churchville and attended Council Rock South.

She has previously hosted coverage of the NWSL's college draft in the past two years as well as working as a reporter and studio host for the Philadelphia Union.
Pilla also has covered the NBA, NFL and NCAA football and basketball for regional sports networks.

ESPN announced its talent lineup for the 14 National Women's Soccer League matches to be televised during the 2019 season.
The telecasts began Sunday with a matchup between the Portland Thorns and Orlando Pride. In all, eight matches will air on ESPNEWS, and the remaining six, including the two semifinals and the NWSL championship, will air on ESPN2.
