UPDATE: Restrictions Continue on Babcock Boulevard in North Park
Crews are planning to place topsoil on either side of the new sidewalk along the road. The road in the area of the North Park Trail Enhancement Project will also be restricted by paving operations Tuesday, Oct. 25, starting at 7 p.m.

Babcock Boulevard in North Park will be closed to pedestrians between Wildwood Road and Pearce Mill Road from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, according to the Allegheny County Public Works Department.
The work was originally scheduled for Wednesday evening but was canceled due to inclement weather.
The restriction is necessary to allow crews to place topsoil on either side of the new sidewalk along the road.

Vehicular traffic traveling along Babcock Boulevard between Wildwood Road and Pierce Mill Road will not be affected.
The road in the area of the North Park Trail Enhancement Project will also be restricted by paving operations Tuesday, Oct. 25, starting at 7 p.m. Work will continue until 5 a.m. and continue Thursday, weather permitting.

The prime contractor for the project is Allison Park Contractors Inc. of Allison Park. The project is being managed by the county Department of Public Works. PennDOT is overseeing the project due to federal funding involved.
