Berkeley Hills Car Wash Raises Money for Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority Charities
A car wash at the Berkeley Hills Volunteer Fire Company on Siebert Road benefits a Clarion University sorority's designated charities.
About 17 members of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority from Clarion University of Pennsylvania washed cars Saturday in Berkeley Hills to raise money for the sorority's charities, the Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation; the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; and the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders.
Jamie Carlino, 21, a junior at Clarion University and member of the sorority, organized the car wash. Her father, Ed Carlino, is the assistant fire chief at the , which donated the space and water for the effort.
Traditionally, the station's crew members have helped other nonprofits when they can, Ed Carlino said.

The fire company had also made plans to participate in the , which was canceled Saturday morning, Carlino said.
