Charles B. Vlakancic

Charles B. Vlakancic, 64, of the North Side, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, surrounded by his family.
He was the husband for 20 years of Helen (Badami). He is the father of Charles, Tony (Jen), Angela (Nate) Hubert, Michael (Sara) Badami; grandfather of Anthony, Devin, Shane, Zachery and Ella Rose; son of Rose and the late Joe, Sr.; brother of Joe (Sharon), Bill, John, Ruthy (Matt), Anna (Jeff), Sean Conley, Fran (Mike), Bridget (Paul) and the late Mary Jones, Anthony Vlakancic and Charles Jones, Jr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the , Inc., 388 Center Ave., West View, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Vlakancic served with the First Recruit Battalion Co. 131 in the Vietnam War.
