Employee of Ross Construction Firm Hurt at Heartland Homes Housing Site

A 1,000 pound concrete form toppled on top of the unidentified man.

This story was written and reported of Patch Editor Jessica Sinichak.

A construction worker on a new housing plan by Heartland Homes in Pine Township was injured Monday when a 1,000 pound concrete form fell on top of him.

A fellow construction worker on the Pinecrest housing plan, which is located near Logan Road, said the worker was attempting to move the concrete form without a brace when it toppled onto him.

The other workers rushed to lift the 9-foot tall form from his body. They managed to pull him out from under it.

The worker, who was conscious, was yelling in the pain and indicated his leg was hurt, according to those on the scene.
