Gas Discount Wars: Two Grocery Store Chains are Doubling Their Perks
Consumers have until May 29 to take advantage.
Call it the battle of the gas perks.
Giant Eagle and Shop 'n Save are offering their customers extra gasoline perks through Wednesday, May 29.
Customers who spend $50 using a Giant Eagle Advantage Card at Pittsburgh-area Giant Eagle stores will receive double fuelperks at GetGo fuel and convenience store locations.

In a similar promotion, Shop 'n Save shoppers will receive 20 cents off per gallon of gas for every $50 they spend on groceries. Those pump perks can be redemmed at participating Sunoco stations.
The promotions come just in time for the Memorial Day holiday weekend, when millions are expected to travel the nation’s highways.
