As our district wrestles with educational decisions, we seek input from our residents through the formations of strategic committees such as the Facilities action committee, Redistricting, Public budget and Curriculum. We have created “cutting edge programs”, have chosen and placed key personnel throughout the district, accomplishing this while under the constraints of government mandates, increased health care and retirement benefits. Our district has one of the lowest millage rates in the nine northern districts. Our district succeeds. Every child deserves a high quality of education. I believe every child receives this at North Hills and AW Beattie Career Center. I believe we prepare our children academically and socially for their future.
Over 8 years we have engaged in long-term thinking. Our decisions in the past have impacted this district leading us in a positive and cost effective future. We must keep moving forward.
