Get Ready: Zip Line, Treetop Adventure Course Opens Today at North Park
The course features five zip lines, two Tarzan swings, and a series of ropes, ladders, bridges, swings and trapezes – many with view of the North Park Lake.
Despite today's cold temperatures, the Go Ape! Treetop Adventure in North Park will open for business beginning at 10 a.m. today, April 20.
Opening day festivities are being re-scheduled, but residents and visitors will get the opportunity to zip and swing through the trees today.
The eco-educational outdoor experience is located in North Park at 303 Pearce Mill Road, between the tennis courts and the boathouse.

Spanning seven acres, the course will provide visitors with 2-3 hours of outdoor fun and exercise while they navigate more than 37 obstacles situated in the treetops of North Park.
The course features five zip lines, two Tarzan swings, and a series of ropes, ladders, bridges, swings and trapezes – many with view of the North Park Lake.

Participants are equipped with harnesses, pulleys and carabineers and receive a 30-minute training session before being turned loose into the forest canopy.
Here are the basics you need to know:
- Persons under 18 must ben supervised by a participating adult
- Minimum age: 10 years
- Minimum height: 4 feet 7 inches
- Maximum weight: 285 lbs.
- Price: $55 (18 and older) $35 (10-17)
- Medical conditions: It is strongly recommended that if you have a medical condition (i.e. heart conditions, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, pregnancy of if you are on medication, that you seek the advice of your physician before doing the course.
