John A. Schroeder, 90, of Ross Township, died Monday, Sept. 19, 2011.
He was the husband of Marie "Mitzi" (Ryan) Schroeder; father of John (Mary Jane) Schroeder, of Winterhaven, Fla., Sandy (Ron) Hockenberry, of Orlando, Fla., Mark (Lisa) Schroeder, of Ambridge, Jeff (Mimi) Sobek, of Bethel Park, Darlene Sobek, of Beechview, Kim (Travis) Holt, of Troutman, N.C., Kathy (Ed) Sandsmark, of Irwin, and April (Keith) McCann, of Economy Borough.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Schroeder was a self-employed contractor and a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
