Mark Your Calendar: Ross Township Community Health Fair

The Ross Township Business and Economic Development Corp. (RED) is hosting the first annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Shoppes at Northway. The event will include:

  • Raffle prizes including gift certificates, gym memberships, healthy products
  • Blood drive in partnership with Central Blood Bank (goody bags for the first 100 donors
  • Free Zumba @ 10:30 a.m.
  • Pilates Class (by Club Julian) @ 11:30 a.m.
  • Stretching with Dr. Dan Turo @ 12:30 p.m.
  • Fire safety table for children
  • Ross Township/5K/Fire Run (Click here to register)
  • Health and Beauty Expo
  • Family Fun activities
There will also be a Young Entrepreneurs area featuring six businesses run by high school students. The program is looking to expand into the North Hills and involves students developing a business and business plan, as well as taking classes through community college about business/entrepreneurship and competing in competitions.

"We want to raise awareness of the health related services and businesses located right in our community," said Craig Linner, President of Ross Township Business and Economic Development Corp. "By highlighting those business, we hope to spread the message that Ross Township is a great place to live and work."

Linner said (RED) is a Ross Township specific non-profit organization working to promote local businesses, attract new development and enhance the lifestyle of the Ross Township Community as a whole.
