North Hills Cheerleaders Seek Donations in 5th Annual Coat Drive

The winter coat drive is sponsored by the North Hills and North Allegheny cheerleaders and will continue until the football game between the two schools Oct. 28.

Cheerleaders from the and North Allegheny school districts are sponsoring the fifth annual Unite on Game Night coat drive to benefit the North Hills Community Outreach Free Coat Shop in Millvale.

The coat drive will be held during the North Hills vs. North Allegheny football game Friday, Oct. 28, at North Allegheny’s Newman Stadium.   

Game time is 7:30 p.m. Cheerleaders will be stationed by the ticket booth to accept donations of clean, gently worn coats of all sizes. Anyone who donates a coat at the event will receive a North Hills Indians bleacher seat cushion — one per family, while supplies last.

Coats can also be dropped off at the North Hills Athletics & Activities office from Monday, Oct. 24 through Friday, Oct. 28. The office s located on the first floor of at 53 Rochester Road.

In the last four years the cheerleaders have collected more than 3,000 coats from the North Hills and North Allegheny school communities.
