North Hills Musicians Score Superior Ranking at PMEA Performance Assessment
The assessment required students to play a prepared piece as well as a selection they had never seen for a sight reading score.

North Hills High School Wind Ensemble and Junior High School Concert Band recently were recognized with outstanding scores during a Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Music Performance Assessment.
The assessment required students to play a prepared piece as well as a selection they had never seen for a sight reading score. Their performances were evaluated against a standard set of criterion established by the PMEA. The superior ranking is the highest score given during the assessment.
Wind ensemble musicians received a Superior ranking in both categories from a panel of noted musical professionals. The concert band also received a Superior ranking for their prepared piece and an Excellent ranking for sight reading.
