North Hills Stadium to Get New, Digital Information Sign

The cost of the sign will be covered by donations and advertisements.

Visitors to Martorelli Stadium will soon notice a new, digital information sign at the parking lot.

The North Hills School Board Monday awarded a $28,233 bid to Visual Information Systems to build the 35-square foot sign.

The district has already raised $10,500, including a recent $5,000 donation from Allstate Insurance agent Tom Bianco, to pay for the sign.

In addition to welcoming visitors to the district's main sports complex, the sign will flash district news and advertisements for local businesses and organizations in full color.

"Since advertisements will be included on it, donations and partners will make the sign self-sustaining," said Amanda Hartle, North Hills Communications Coordinator.
