Patch Pet of the Week: Chester

Calling all hound fans — look at that face! This is Chester, and he’s an 8-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound mix. Chester had it pretty rough for a while and was picked up by Animal Control.

He was able to get the care he needs at Animal Friends, and now things are looking much better for him. 

Chester is a very friendly, people-oriented dog. He’s brushing up on his basic obedience, and is very food-motivated.

He has shown himself to be a sweet, wonderful dog who is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite. Animal Friends can’t wait until he finds his perfect forever home. 

Since he’s been at Animal Friends, Chester has lived with two different dogs and has done well with both of them. He would likely do well with a canine brother or sister, but you should bring any potential siblings in to meet Chester.
