Perry Highway Reopens in West View
The road had been closed in both directions since last Wednesday.
Perry Highway in the heart of West View reopened Monday evening.
The road had been closed in both directions between West View Park Drive and Center Avenue since last Wednesday when crews began repairs on a sewer line, directly across Perry Highway from the Dunkin Donuts.
Heavy rains early Thursday morning washed away most of the work done earlier in the day, and damaged a 10-inch water line.
West View Police Lt. Matt Holland said the road is patched, temporarily, until PennDOT inspects the road and orders the specifications for a permanent paving of the highway.
