Residents Donate 9/11 Bronze Plaque to Ross Township
The plaque was presented in the name of William Jones, a private first class with the U.S. Army Reserve and a student at Robert Morris University.
Ross residents Meghan Jones and her mother, Susie Jones, presented a bronze plaque commemorating the terrorist attack of Sept. 11, 2001, to Ross Township Commissioners Monday at the board's regular meeting.
Meghan Jones, 27, purchased the plaque, which is about 10 inches in diameter and weighs 10 pounds, through an employee discount offered by her employer, the Gibraltar Mausoleum Construction Co. of Pittsburgh.
She said she purchased it on behalf of her brother, William Jones, 22, who is a private first class with the U.S. Army Reserve and a student at Robert Morris University.
