Ross Power Outage Could Last Through The Weekend

Three streets in the township are without power due to a power surge.

ROSS TOWNSHIP, PA — A power surge knocked out power to three streets in the township, and the outage could last through the weekend.

The affected streets are Gardner Place, Park Place and Harbeth Drive.

Duquense Light responded to the area after a tree fell on some power lines Thursday night. When the utility tried to reactivate the grid, the surge occurred.

The Berkeley Hills Volunteer Fire Company said via Facebook Friday that multiple residents in the McKnight Village community are reporting odors of burning or smoke in the houses. Residents experiencing and haze or odor in their homes are advised to call 911.
