Jewelry, Silverware, Tools Taken in Ross Home Burglaries

Monday, Aug. 22
A 76-year-old man reported that someone called him at his residence along Highland Pines Drive telling him he won $3.5 million.
A 51-year-old man reported a burglary of his residence in the 100 block of Baker Drive. Items missing included a gold ring, gold bracelet and change.
A 55-year-old man reported a burglary of a residence in the 100 block of Richmond Circle between 10 a.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday. Items missing included silverware, gold chains, a ring with a diamond, costume jewelry, freeze pops, Nestea Ice Tea and cash.
A 39-year-old man reported a burglary at a home under construction along Thompson Run Road between 4 p.m. Aug. 1 and 7:04 p.m. Aug. 22. Items missing included tools.
Sunday, Aug. 21
A police officer on patrol at 8:47 a.m. found copper wires were missing from the former Sam’s Club along McKnight Road.
A 47-year-old woman reported that her purse was taken about 7 p.m. at the Croatian Center along Scheutzen Park Road.
Saturday, Aug. 20
A 24-year-old man was transported to UPMC Passavant for treatment after complaining of neck pain after a three-car crash at 12:17 p.m. along Babcock Boulevard. The driver of an SUV, who police say caused the crash, fled.
