Ross Township Police Blotter: Road Rage Confrontation Fizzles Before Harm is Done

The following information was supplied by the Ross Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction. This blotter covers notable incidents in the time period between Oct. 4 and Oct. 10.

Sunday, Oct. 9

A 58-year-old man reported that the tailgate from his Ford F-150 was taken from his work truck while it was parked overnight in his driveway in the area of Connie Drive.

Thursday, Oct. 6

A 26-year-old man reported a simple assault in a road rage incident at about 5:20 p.m. along Babcock Boulevard. According to the victim, another man, age not reported, tailgated his vehicle in the slow lane on Peoples Road and then pulled alongside in the opposing lane at a light to yell obscenities. The man eventually exited his vehicle and approached the victim’s window carrying a long tool. The victim said he pulled out his phone to call police and the other man eventually got back into his car, saying the victim “wasn’t worth it.”

A 27-year-old woman reported the theft of a package from her porch along Clarion Avenue at about 9:02 p.m.
