State Association Selects NHSD Junior High Concert Band to Perform at Convention

The band will perform for music educators and industry leaders from around the country as the model group for what a junior high band can and should achieve.

The North Hills Junior High Concert Band has been selected to perform as a model junior high band at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association All-State Convention April 20, 2012.

The concert band, comprised of students in grades eight and nine, was selected from more than 100 entries from bands throughout Pennsylvania.

“This is an exciting opportunity for our  as well as the district’s instrumental program,” Superintendent Joseph Goodnack said. “The North Hills band — at every level — continues to bring pride, tradition and excellence to our district.”
