Updated Forecast: Most Storms Expected Overnight and Thursday in Ross & West View

A flash flood watch is in effect from Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon.

Meteorologists are watching a storm system that could bring damaging winds, large hail and more than 2 inches of rain to Ross and West View Wednesday night and Thursday.

A flash flood watch is in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday until 6 p.m. Thursday.

A Duquesne Light spokesperson told the Tribune Review that customers should have water, flashlights, batteries and candles on hand, plus a first-aid kit and a supply of prescription medicine.

Here's a more detailed look at the forecast:

  • Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1am. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Low around 68. West wind 5 to 8 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
  • Thursday: Showers and thunderstorms before 3pm, then showers likely. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. High near 74. Southwest wind 11 to 13 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
