Video: NHSD Students React to President's Back-to-School Speech
Overall, the students said they appreciated the thought, but the message was familiar.
President Barack Obama delivered his third annual Back-to-School speech a live telecast to children across the nation Sept. 28.
And for the first time in two years, all students of the North Hills School District listened to it together.
The North Hills School Board decided in a slim vote of 4-3 in favor of showing the speech to students.

"It wasn't anything we haven't heard 30 times already," McConnell said.
"I think he could have shortened it," Sparke said.
