North Whitehall is a place like no other. And whether you grew up here, recently moved to the area or you’re just an occasional visitor, you know that North Whitehall has its own special traditions and history that make it so unique.

A few things to know:

  • Did you know that North Whitehall Township is home to the Trexler Nature Preserve, a 1,108-acre park that offers breathtaking scenic views and outdoor recreational activities? The preserve is also home to the famous Trexler-Lehigh County Game Preserve, which was established in the early 1900s by General Harry Trexler to save the American bison from extinction.
  • For those looking for outdoor adventure, North Whitehall has several parks and recreation areas to explore. The Jordan Creek Parkway offers hiking trails, fishing and picnic areas.
  • You can experience the scenic beauty of the Ironton Rail Trail, a collaborative project between North Whitehall and Whitehall Townships and Coplay Borough. Stretching over 13 miles, this ADA-designed trail provides a perfect setting for biking, walking and running, with a new trailhead pavilion welcoming adventurers to explore its picturesque paths.
  • A plethora of recreational opportunities are available in the North Whitehall area. From golfing at The Club at Twin Lakes, formerly Iron Lakes Golf Course, to enjoying swim clubs like Orchard View Swim Club.
  • North Whitehall Township is home to the Lehigh Valley Zoo, a popular attraction that features a wide variety of animals from around the world. The zoo offers interactive exhibits, behind-the-scenes tours and special events throughout the year.
