A New Home for Tara's Country Cottage
The Skippack shop gets comfortable in its expanded digs.
Tara's Country Cottage opened the doors of its new home Friday for its grand reopening party. The home and garden decor shop moved its digs from a tiny, one-room shop to a multi-room, two-story converted house next door.
Owner Tara Shiffert is sticking with the basics of her inventory—jewelry, paintings, wine glasses, candles and other items that are made locally, or at least in the U.S.—but she is looking forward to expanding her offerings, including hosting wine tastings.
The store is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from noon to 9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
