Animal Medical Center Celebrates Cats, Towne Book Center Holds 'Just Write' Workshop This Week

Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy’s ‘Summer Afield’ will be held this week for students who have completed fourth through sixth grade. This year, the theme is “Whatza’ Watershed?” and will include activities such as survivor challenges, topographic maps, field trips, experiments and stimulations.

Teens are invited to learn about sharing books with young children as part of the Teen Book Buddies program with the Perkiomen Valley Library. On Monday, teens are invited to a training to learn about the program.  

On Tuesday, the Lower Frederick Township Board of Supervisors will hold its monthly work session at 7:30 p.m. to discuss issues in anticipation of its monthly meeting on the first Tuesday of the month.  For more information, click here. 

Have a story to tell, but don’t know where to start? At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, the Towne Book Center will hold a “Just Write” workshop led by Patty Kline Capaldo at its location in Providence Town Center.

Celebrate cats on Wednesday with an Animal Medical Center Open House, beginning at 6:30 p.m. on 25 W 3rd Avenue in Trappe.  Space is limited to the first 75 people who RSVP; to do so, call 610-489-8982. 

On Thursday, the Burnt Orange Trio will perform at the Anderson Farm Park Amphitheater, located at 499 Hopwood Road in Upper Providence Township.  This is part of the 2013 summer concert lineup, which can be found on the Upper Providence Township website.
