BS: The ideal customer is the one who comes in wanting information about getting started cycling after having been away from the sport for a long time. They are open to us making suggestions, and they love being guided through the options. We let them know what bike works best for their riding style, what accessories will help make the ride truly enjoyable, and we give them ideas on where to ride and how to meet other cyclists.

BS: Our business is unique in that we have the top service department in the area. We've had repairs sent to us from other bike shops! The other thing that makes us unique is that we all love to ride our bikes, so its easy to sell the sport of cycling when you truly love doing it!

PVP: What made you decide to open a business?

BS: Deciding to open a bike shop was easy! When the choices to start a business were on the table, it came down to choosing a healthy lifestyle that we would never outgrow. Cycling is great for the 2-92 year old, so we expect to be here a LONG time.

PVP: What’s your most popular item?

BS: Our most popular item right now is a pair of grips from Ergon. These replace the regular grips with an ergonomically designed grip that has a flat paddle for your palm that keeps you from overgripping and making your hands get numb.

PVP: What makes your community special?

BS: We love being a part of Trappe Borough! It has great neighborhoods and is smack between the bustling areas of Limerick and Collegeville. We're close to Ursinus College, which keeps the community young and smart, while keeping it's rich history. We are involved in organizations like Trappe, Today and Tomorrow and Trappe Business Association.

PVP: Where can customers find your specials?

BS: We've always got something special going on, which can be found at www.bikesportbikes.com or on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bikesport/133134178675?ref=tn_tnmn. We're open Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday noon until 4 p.m.
