Central Perk Rotary Holding Four-Way Speech Contest at PVHS
Students will address an ethical issue using the famed Four-Way Test on March 19, with a chance to advance in the competition and win $1,000.

The Central Perkiomen Rotary Club is sponsoring a Four-Way Speech Contest at Perkiomen Valley High School at 6 p.m. on March 19, which will promote “high ethical standards” in the community. The public is welcome to attend the event.
The contest, sponsored by many clubs of Rotary District 7430, is based on the Rotary four-way test, a widely used business ethics test, created by Rotarian Herbert Taylor in 1932. It poses four questions:
- Is it the TRUTH?
- Is it FAIR to all concerned?
- Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
- Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
Using these principles, students have been asked to address an ethical problem. All speeches will be between five and seven minutes, and the winner of the local contest has the opportunity to win $100.00 to move on to the area contest on April 13.
