We’ll spend the evening focusing on this question, “What are you looking for in a college?” There are over 4000 institutions of higher education and it can be overwhelming to think through all of the possibilities. During this workshop, we'll go through a checklist of qualities, such as size, location, academic offerings, cost of attendance, and others, so that students and families can consider the type of college that works for them. Various print and online college search resources will be reviewed . We’ll work toward the goal of helping each participant prioritize the characteristics they most value/need in a college, so they can create their personal list of best-fit colleges.
The fee for this workshop is $40 per family (student may come alone or with parents). This workshop is perfect for current high school juniors, and even sophomores and freshmen who have started to show interest in seeking out colleges.
