“The forecast for the day was for a winter weather advisory with temperatures near freezing and 1 - 3 inches of snow. The forecast was dead on,” Dave posted on his blog on May 19.  “I love walking in the snow and would have been disappointed if I didn't get one ‘winter wonderland’ walk.”

Brown traveled through Maryland and back into Pennsylvania on Rt. 40 before walking into West Virginia.

While Brown will stay with friends for parts of the trip, Friday marked his first day in an RV, which he sad “is really spacious with all the comforts of home.”

On Monday, Brown faced snow for a second time. A supporter traveled with Brown in the RV and provided warm drinks for Brown occasionally.

Brown had dinner with former Pennsylvania State Representative Sean Ramaley, who supported Ovarian Cancer Awareness in Pennsylvania government.

On Brown’s trek, he is also hand-delivering shirts purchased by supporters to support the trek.

“Talk about snail mail,” he blogged.

Also in fundraising news, Brown hit the $10,000 mark in his fundraising for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
