Collegeville Farmers' Market Moving to Da Vinci's

The Collegeville Farmers' Market, which spent last season in the parking lot behind the AmeriGreen Gas Station on the 400 block of E. Main Street, will be moving down the street to the Da Vinci's Pub parking lot when it reopens on May 5.

According to Collegeville Main Street Manager Rachael Morrison, who reported to Collegeville Borough Council at its Feb. 6 meeting, a local dentist that allowed the Farmers’ Market to use his parking spots is beginning Saturday morning house that conflict with the market, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The market will be held in the same area as last spring's Collegeville Art and Music Festival, which will provide natural shade for some of the vendors.

According to Morrison, the move has man advantages, including additional parking in the Da Vinci’s and Power House parking lots, and there will be less of a need to monitor parking, as there was at the old site.

Additionally, Morrison said that the market will now be more visible, and will be in closer proximity to Collegeville Shopping on Second and Third Aves.

The Collegeville Farmers’ Market features more than 30 vendors who provide locally-grown, fresh food to residents of Collegeville and the surrounding communities, according to its website.
