Drunken Man Injured in Upper Frederick Crash, Police Say

The Big Road crash occurred just before 4 p.m. on May 9.

 

DUI charges are pending against a Stowe man after he allegedly lost his vehicle on and struck a tree on Big Road in Upper Frederick while under the influence of a controlled substance, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Shane Christopher Bobst, 27, was traveling west on Big Road near Neiffer Road in Upper Frederick just before 4 p.m. on May 9 when he traveled off the right side of the road, striking a tree.

Bobst was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital due to injuries, and there was severe damage to his vehicle, according to police.

According to officer, Bobst exhibited signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance; a blood draw was taken.
