Fire Breaks Out at Collegeville Wawa

There were no injuries; the cause is still under investigation.

The cause of an early morning blaze at the in Collegeville early Friday morning is still under investigation, according to .

The fire broke out on the Main Street store's second floor around 2:30 a.m., and it took about 15 to 20 minutes to get it under control, Murphy said.

There were at least two employees in the store at the time; no one was injured.

When asked who discovered the fire, workers said they were alerted by the store's alarm. Although the blaze was contained to the second floor, water from the sprinkler system was pouring down the stairs, according to reports. The full extent of the smoke, fire and water damage is unreported at this time.

The store will be closed today, and Murphy said it is "up to Wawa" as to when the store will reopen.
