Green Lane Fire Co. Holds Smoke in the Valley Contest

The Green Lane Volunteer Fire Company is holding the fifth annual Smoke in the Valley Barbecue Cook-Off Competition Friday and Saturday at the Isaac Smith Park in Green Lane.

More than 50 teams from the United States and Canada will show off their barbecue skills, and there will be many other food vendors, crafters and artisans,

The event kicks off at 4 p.m. Friday, and will run from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. Live music, a car show, bonfires, a wing eating contest, and much more, is on the schedule. http://www.glfcbbq.com/schedule.php
