How To Post an Event on Patch

The Perkiomen Valley Patch events calendar allows readers to share pcoming community happenings - from bake sales to soccer games to community meetings - with thousands of other local residents.

By adding your event to the calendar, it will appear on the righthand column of the home page as the date approaches, and it may be featured in our "Weekends at a Glance" or event preview articles.

Here is instructions on adding an event:

1. Scroll to the bottom right side of the page and click "Put an event on the calendar" under the Green "Contribute" heading
2. Give your event a title. IE: Rotary Meeting
3. Enter a date and time for the event
4. Either search for a location in the "Where" spot, or enter the address of the event.
5. Add a description letting the community know what the event is for, who can come and anything else you think is relevant.
6. Choose a category for the event.
7. You can add a link to the website, contact information, price and a ticket website, but it isn't necessary to post the event.
8. Click "Post My Event," and it will show up on the events calendar shortly.

The event will now live in the calendar, and will be seen by Patch readers across the Perkiomen Valley.
