Information Sought in Burglary, Hit and Run in Skippack

Perpetrators' identities currently unknown.

Pennsylvania State Police are asking for information about a burglary at Tiara Nails in Skippack, Saturday morning.

According to a report, shortly before 4:30 a.m. police responded to an audible alarm at the Route 73/Skippack Pike business and discovered that an unknown person (or people) "removed a screen from a rear window, opened the window and entered the shop."

The suspect(s) attempted to rummage the register, but it was empty, the report stated.

Police are asking for information about a hit-and-run crash in Skippack that injured a Reading woman, according to a report.

A bronze/copper-colored sedan rear-ended a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe at the intersection of Routes 73 and 113 around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, the report states. The sedan's driver then fled, driving east on Route 73/Skippack Pike, according to police.

The Tahoe's driver was injured, but refused EMS, the report continues.

The sedan's hood is bent upward from the crash, according to the report. The driver is described as a white woman in her 40s, police said.
