Judge Sets Trial Date in Marino, Kane Case

Attorneys and defendants Skippack Township Supervisors Chair Mark Marino and Limerick Supervisor David Kane attended a motions hearing at the federal courthouse in Philadelphia, Friday, according to a Times Herald report.
The pair is accused of "(hiding) funds from the IRS and conned the U.S. government out of millions in unpaid taxes. The U.S. Attorney’s Office charges the pair allegedly used corporate funds to pay for visits to strip clubs, sports arenas and vacations," wrote Jenny DeHuff of The Times Herald.
If convicted of the charges, Marino could face a maximum of 25 years in prison, the article states.
