Lower Frederick Man Jailed for Local Burglaries
Michael Walter Dobson committed the crimes due to his drug addiction, his lawyer says.

A Lower Frederick Man was sentenced to nine-to-23 months in jail after admitting to burglarizing local homes and stealing jewelry from a Limerick store, according to a Times Herald report.
Michael Walter Dobson, 28, of Crystal Drive, pleaded guilty to charges of burglary and retail theft, crimes that were apparently fueled by Dobson’s drug addiction.

According to previous Patch reports, multiple homes on Crystal Drive were broken into February of 2012. Witnesses reported seeing Dobson or his vehicle near some of the homes at the time of the burglaries, and Dobson confessed when questioned by police.
Dobson also admitted to stealing several pieces of jewelry from Kohl’s store in Limerick on two occasions.

Dobson’s attorney, Mark Robert Steinberg, said that Dobson is remorseful, and that the crimes were fueled by a drug addiction.
