Skippack Crash Caused by Man Reaching for Cell Phone, Police Say

Matthew Krulich, 22, crossed into opposing traffic before striking a utility pole in Skippack.

 

A Sellersville man was injured after his vehicle struck a utility pole in Skippack Township after he leaned to reach his cell phone on June 5, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Matthew Krulich, 22, was driving his 2013 GMC Yukon westbound near the 4800 block of Route 73 in Skippack Township around 10:30 a.m. when he reportedly reached for his cell phone, crossing over the eastbound lane and striking a utility pole with his vehicle.

Trappe Ambulance treated Krulich at the scene; Norm’s Save Station towed the vehicle, which was severely damaged.

The Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate the crash.
