More Arrests Made in Alleged Lower Frederick Shooting Incident

Desiree Cucolo, of Lower Frederick, and Kristy Willson, of Royersford, were arrested after an incident in which a felon allegedly shot a gun into a tree.

Two additional arrests have been made in connection with a March 25 Lower Frederick incident in which a felon allegedly fired a handgun into a tree, according to the Lower Frederick Township Police.

Desiree Cucolo, 32, of Lower Frederick, and Kristy Wilson, 34, of Royersford, are facing charges stemming from the incident near Second Avenue and Main Street around 9:30 p.m., when police responded to a report of shots fired and found convicted felon Daniel DeFreitas, 31, of Eagleville, allegedly in possession of a handgun concealed in the waistband of his pants.

DeFreitas was charged with illegally possessing a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, recklessly endangering another person, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct, police said.

On April 1, Cucolo was arrested for allegedly shooting the handgun, and was charged with recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct, according to police.

Willson was also arrested, for allegedly providing the gun that was fired by DeFreitas and Cucolo. She was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, illegal sale or transfer of firearms, lending firearm, and hindering apprehension or prosecution, police said.

The three were intoxicated at the time of the incident, according to police.

DeFreitas and Willson were unable to post $10,000 bail and remain in Montgomery County Prison. Willson was released on her own recognizance.
