• Jonathan Collins, a senior at Perkiomen Valley High School, is spearheading a teen driver safety campaign that teaches the importance of not texting while driving. The first part of the campaign will take place from 7:45 to 11 a.m.
• Mother of Preschoolers (MOPS) is at 9 a.m. at St. Luke’s UCC.
• Cub Scout Pack 105 is holding an ice cream social for recruiting Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m. at .
• Today is the last day to submit brews for this Saturday’s Oktoberfest.

• Trappe Community Day will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, at Water Works Park.
• St. Eleanor’s Parish is holding a Centennial Youth Event Sunday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon and then 2 to 5 p.m.
• A Zumbathon in memory of will take place Saturday, Sept. 24, at Christ’s Church of the Valley in Royersford. The event runs from 9 a.m. until noon. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by emailing zumbaforgabby@gmail.com. Proceeds will benefit the Vogel family.
• The Perkiomen Township Fire Company is hosting its first-ever Oktoberfest Saturday, Sept. 24, from 7 to 10 p.m.
There will be a home brew competition. Entrants dropping off beers (2 12-ounce bottles for classes and at least one gallon to be considered for the People’s Choice award) at satellite locations must submit brews by Sept. 21.
The event includes music, food and samples from local breweries.
