New Candidates Enter Perk Valley School Board Race

Based on a preliminary petition receipts from the Montgomery County Election Board, three new candidates will vie against incumbents for six open positions.

 

Based on a preliminary petition receipts from the Montgomery County Election Board, three new candidates are running against five incumbents for six open positions on the board.

New candidates include Rachael Charyna and Richard Bouher, both registered Republicans from Perkiomen Township, who have submitted petitions on both the Democrat and Republican ballots for one of five available positions on School Board. Alex Rodriguez, of Collegeville, only circulated petitions to appear on the Democratic Ballot.

Current School Board Directors Paul Smith, John King, Andrea Galambos, Lynn Bigelow and Lori Snyder are all seeking re-election. They will run on both the Republican and Democrat ballots in the Primary Election.

Andrea Galambos also circulated petitions for a two-year term, according to Montgomery County Election Board documents.

Ann Mantey, Diane Landes and Gerry Barnefiher are not running for re-election again until 2015.
