Perkiomen Valley Airport Celebrates 75 Years
The Skippack business is holding a ribbon cutting Friday and an open house all weekend.
The Perkiomen Valley Airport is celebrating 75 years in business this weekend, starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday at noon and an open house over the weekend.
The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. in the Airport Lounge, located at 767 Collegeville Road in Skippack Township. Weekend hours are are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“[It] Always has been a safe and peaceful haven for aircraft,” said Joy Bose, aircraft manager.
The airport offers flights, skydiving drops, discover flights and introductory flying lessons.

The Perkiomen Valley Airport also provides parking and storage for antique, sports and utility vehicles, boats, yachts, marine equipment, TVs, motor homes and car-haulers.
Local food vendors have been invited to serve food and help “promote the camaraderie and spirit of festivity in our village,” according to the website.
