Perk Valley High School Gets Colorful at Fun Run
The event, which is expected to become an annual fundraiser, raised roughly $3,000 for the PVHS Class of 2016.
Taking a cue from the Philadelphia Color Run, Perkiomen Valley High School (PVHS) students and supporters ran in a Color Fun Run on April 28 to raise money for the Class of 2016.
Runners wore white clothing to the race, which started at the high school, and they were showered with brightly colored paint throughout the course. The paint was non-toxic and eco-friendly, according to the school.

“What seemed so attractive about the event was the opportunity to participate in a color run that didn’t mean traveling to a big city,” said co-adviser to the event and high school teacher Kate Marino. “Also families were able to run/walk together, while most races would have them divided by age and or gender.”
The run, which will become an annual event, raised roughly $3,000 for the class.
