'Funny Girl' Coming to Perk Valley High School

Perkiomen Valley High School students are preparing for the scheduled for April 5, 6 and 7.

"There are 80 students involved in the production between cast, crew and pit,"said Tracy L. Griffie, PVHS Choral and Musical Director

The musical, with music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Bob Merrill and a book by Isobel Lenhart, tell the tale of Fanny Brice, a singer, actress, comedian, and Ziegfeld Follies Star, shortly before and after World War I.

“The production brings back the glitz and glamour of Vaudeville Shows,” said Griffie.

Songs from the production include “Cornet Man,” “Don’t Rain on my Parade,” “You are Woman I am Man,” and “People.”
