Perkiomen Fire Co. Given $2,500 Donation From Nonprofit Organization 'Invest In Others'
A nonprofit that supports financial advisors donates $2,500 to the Perkiomen Township Fire Co. Battalion chief is a financial advisor.

PERKIOMEN VALLEY, PA — A local volunteer fire company recently received a donation from a nonprofit organization that supports and empowers financial advisors who give back to their communities.
Invest in Others, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit, recently gave $2,500 in donated funds to Dan Melville, the vice president and a battalion chief at the Perkiomen Township Fire Company, who in turned handed over the money to the department where he has been volunteering for the past 13 years.
When he is not volunteering with the fire company, Melville works as a financial advisor with Financial Voyages, LLC, where he is also a partner, according to a firm bio.

By day, Melville, who has been a volunteer with the Perkiomen Township Fire Co. since 2008, helps clients with financial goals and oversees the firm's investment research.
"Dan believes in offering unbiased guidance and independent product solutions for his clients with diligent monitoring and effective communication throughout the way," Melville's firm bio states. "Building long-term relationships is the primary focus of his practice."

Melville was recently honored by Invest in Others during the organization's 2021 Volunteer Awards, according to the fire company.
Invest in Others says it is dedicated to supporting and empowering financial advisors because of the good work they do on behalf of their clientele and the communities they serve.
"From raising money for cancer research, to empowering women through financial education, to teaching children how to read, financial advisors truly make a difference in their communities," the organization's website reads. "Through our programs and events, Invest in Others helps advisors make the most of their charitable work and have an even bigger impact."
