Perkiomen Valley Airport Celebrates 75 Years [Correction]
Ribbon cutting kicked off weekend long celebration.
The Perkiomen Valley Airport, and the airport's manager Joy Bose, celebrated its 75th anniversary with a ribbon cutting on Friday, and kicked off the weekend-long open house at the local airport.
Lane R. Jubb purchased the airport in 1973 when he was just 21 years old, and it is still owned by the Jubb Estate since Jubb's passing in 2005, according to Pennsylvania Pilot.
Skippack Supervisor, Mary Beth LaBelle, said the airport is very important to the state of Pennsylvania and that Bose has done a "phenomenal job" at the airport.
