Philly Pretzel Factory Offers Free Treats in Collegeville Friday
The Main Street location, which gives regularly to community groups, is also offering free pretzels every day in May to the first 100 customers.
The Collegeville Philly Pretzel Factory is celebrating Soft Pretzel Day on Friday with a free twisty treat to every customer who walks in the door, and the first 100 customers will be given a card for a free pretzel every day during the month of May.
The shop is located at 331 E. Main Street in Collegeville, and the free pretzels are available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday.
Collegeville Philly Pretzel Factory Franchisee Mike Lanza is no stranger to giving away pretzels, though.

“We donate at least a couple times per week,” said Lanza, who said he gives to community events and fundraisers.
Lanza, who gave 1,000 pretzels to the Eli and Ella's Wonderland of Wishes in Oaks this year, said that he particularly feels obliged to give to children’s causes.

After losing a son eight years ago, Lanza said he knows about the pain the families go through and the bills that can pile up with medical issues.
“These kids didn’t choose for things to happen to them, and I want to help them any way I can,” Lanza said.
